Buying A Home or Investing In A Home For The Rest Of Us Purchasing a hone can be one of the most intimidating things that you may ever do. However it really does no have to be. If you are a first time home buyer or looking to invest for your own future you will find at least some of the information valuable if not most depending on your experience in the Houston market. I have been investing in real estate and buying homes for just over 20 years now. I have seen so many of these people selling books and tapes and giving seminars on how to invest in real estate for little or nothing down and be financially secure. But what you get from most of these seminars and courses is a lot of fluff and general information with little valuable content. Most of the information provided you could get from a good real estate agent or real estate law attorney.
I am not a real estate agent or trying to sell you anything. I have been blessed with my success and there is plenty of room for others like you with some basic information. And that is what this site is about. I will continue to add articles, information and resources to assist both first time home buyers as well as those wanting to invest in real estate so if this is something that interests you be sure and bookmark this site. With this site I am hoping to give you some basic information and techniques to help you in purchasing homes and investing in real estate on your own. If you do have some experience then a lot of this will not be anything new but you still may be able to get something out of this site, and if your interested in providing or making suggestions I would appreciate it.
If you are trying to get started investing in real estate the first thing I would ask is are you willing to do the work? This is a business your starting and like any new business is going to be hard work and take a lot of your time. If you are an 8 to 5, 40 hours a week person this may not be what you are looking for. You are going to be talking to buyers, sellers, realtors, contractors and maybe even tenants. A lot of them do have 8 to 5 jobs so they are going to be contacting you in the evenings or you are going to have to contact them in their off hours. And then you will have lenders, insurance agents, more contractors, inspectors, accountants, partners, lawyers and so on trying to contact you to speak and confer with.
But if your willing to do the work and realize your not going to get rich over night, and can work with others, you can make a very good income from investing in real estate. If there is something that you would like me to cover on this site that is in topic please let me know and I will try to put some information together for you. Or if you would like to post an article of your own that would help, fill out the form and let me know.
